With this visa you can

This visa allows you to:

  • Live in Japan for up to one year
  • Work while traveling
  • Study
  • Re-enter Japan during the visa period

Conditions

  1. Hold a valid passport for one of the participating countries
  2. Being between 18 and 30 years of age both inclusive at the time of application for the visa (18 โ€“ 35 years old for Australians, Canadians and South Koreans. 18 and 26 years of age for Icelandic people).
  3. Not being accompanied by dependents or children.
  4. Have a return travel ticket or sufficient funds with which to purchase such a ticket
  5. Possessing reasonable funds for the maintenance of his/her stay during the initial period of stay in Japan.
  6. Being in good health.
  7. Never having been issued a Japanese working holiday visa in the past.
